Due to bad weather for the past few weeks we have not been able to do our neighborhood walks. So it felt so good to visit Sunnyvale Apartments on the East Side of Longmont on Saturday. We were invited by the HOA to come and meet the residents and to talk about our Belonging Revolution. Along with their invitation to us, the HOA also invited representatives from our police and fire services to their event.
It is hard not to think our police and fire services are not the best in our country. To hear these men and women from police and fire speak of their desire to serve, their dedication and their compassion - it was just plain awesome. They mesmerized the residents of Sunnyvale! They easily connected with everyone as they told stories of their lives as public servants. WOW!!
We made a presentation about our Belonging Revolution. It was well received! And again, people want to know what they can do to make a difference.
And as I listened to Longmont’s finest sharing with us about their lives and service to our community I was mesmerized as to how dedicated they are, how they serve our community 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And talking and sharing with residents who were so nice to us and who shared their cookies and goodies with us was so special and I thought as we were leaving oh my! How truly blessed I am!! And as I have expressed before “Que Suerte la mia” (How lucky I am) to be living in the greatest City in the U.S. LONGMONT COLORADO!!
Thank you, Dan Benavidez
